Our Story
THE DISCOVERY
Living in the intense heat of Queensland, I quickly learned how challenging summer can be for Samoyeds, a breed made for snow, not 40° QLD days. When I brought home my first Samoyed, he struggled to stay cool: constantly panting, searching for shade and trying to get comfortable.
We tried our very first cooling mat and he loved it you could see the instant relief on his face. But even though he enjoyed it, it wasn’t the best quality. The cooling didn’t last long and it was thin and flimsy, especially for harsh Queensland summers. It helped… but he needed something better.
OUR COOLING BREAKTHROUGH
So I kept searching for a solution. When I finally tested a high quality cooling bed, everything changed. The moment I put it down, he ran straight to it and instantly relaxed. It became his favourite sleeping spot supportive, cool and long-lasting.
When our second Samoyed joined the family, she loved it just as much. Both dogs would race to claim the mat every time we brought it out. That’s when I realised how big a difference a thoughtfully designed cooling bed can make.
FROM OUR PAWS TO YOURS
That experience inspired me to create The Lucky Paws.
Our mission is simple: to help dogs across Australia stay cool, calm and comfortable through our extreme summers. Every Lucky Paws cooling mat is made thicker, more durable and longer lasting and is everything I wished existed when my first pup struggled with the heat.
